Sparse juniper and dense redwoods will remain.
Waves will still crash,
With air redolent of salt and eucalyptus.
Mountains and buttes will endure,
Revealing our smallness.
Tree roots will slowly overtake paths,
Leaving knotty wilds in their wake.
